Bass In Season

The Lizard is bass central. Rock marks (Polpeor, Black Head) at dusk. Beach marks (Poldhu) at dawn. Rough weather produces the best fish.

Bait: Plug, soft plastic, live sandeel, crab

Limit: 2 per person per day. Minimum Size: 42cm.

Wrasse In Season

Every rocky inch of the peninsula. Harbour walls to Kynance. Float fish peeler crab in the kelp.

Bait: Peeler crab, limpet, ragworm

Pollack In Season

Spinning from rocks at dusk. Kelp beds everywhere. Soft plastics and jelly worms.

Mackerel In Season

Off the headlands in summer. Feathers or sabiki from rocks. July peak.
