Rocky eastern shore near the village. Ballan and corkwing wrasse on float fished crab.

Bait: Peeler crab, limpet (collect locally), ragworm

Flounder Off Season

Muddy upper river marks. Fish small baits on ledger. January-March best.

Bait: Ragworm, lugworm, mackerel strip

Red Gurnard In Season

Sandy patches near the moorings. Small hooks, light tackle. Dusk best.

Bait: Ragworm, mackerel strip, sandeel

Spider Crab In Season

Huge spider crab migration into the Helford in spring/early summer. Drop pots in 5-15m.

Bait: Fish waste, squid
